Please note the following courses satisfy the general education requirement in philosophy for students in the College of Arts and Sciences: Philosophy 051: Principles of Reasoning, Philosophy 055: Introduction to Philosophy and Philosophy 057: Introduction to Ethics. General education requirements in philosophy vary widely across Howard’s other undergraduate colleges, and students should consult their advisors for guidance on which philosophy course satisfies their own degree or major requirements. Introductory courses are taught by various faculty and adjuncts.
