The major in psychology consists of a minimum of 39 semester hours of which the following courses are required:

Majors must choose a minimum of five additional courses in the 100 series. This adds up to a total of at least 39 hours in the department.
Students who wish to minor in Psychology are required to take Introduction to Psychology (PSYC 050) along with four 100 series courses. This adds up to a total of at least 15 hours in the department.
Psychology majors seeking minors in other departments must fulfill the requirements as specified by that department, which typically includes 15-18 hours of coursework.
